Saturday Opening in Cathal Brugha Street Library

To facilitate students studying for exams, DIT Cathal Brugha Street Library will be open from 10am to 5pm on the following Saturdays:

1 December
8 December
15 December
5 January
12 January

Please note that hours may change at short notice due to staff shortages. Please phone if you plan visiting the library on a Saturday.

Two papers by Hospitality and Tourism academics in top three papers on Arrow@DIT


Festivals, events and tourism by Bernadette Quinn, and Study on Online Hotel Reservation Systems co-authored by Marc McDonald, are two of the top three papers downloaded in October 2012 from Arrow@DIT, the DIT's digital collection of research publications produced by researchers at DIT. In October alone there were 75,387 full-text downloads and 112 new submissions were posted. 

The most popular papers were: 
Festivals, events and tourism (Bernadette Quinn) (1271 downloads)
Learning Theories and Higher Education (Frank Ashworth et al) (964 downloads)
Study on Online Hotel Reservation Systems (Alleweldt, F.; Tonner, K.; and McDonald, Marc (788 downloads)

The most popular publications were:

ARROW@DIT now holds 4904 records, which have been downloaded a total of 1170236 times.

Early Closing on Wednesday, November 7

Due to staff shortages, Cathal Brugha St Library will close at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 7.  Your nearest libraries are Mountjoy Square and Bolton Street.

The library will be open as normal for the rest of the week.
