Fast food is about to get a whole lot faster at McDonald's with the introduction to its restaurants in Europe of touch screen technology to make an order and swipe card technology to make payments. McDonalds estimate each transaction will be 4 seconds quicker. Efficiency, progress and innovation are mentioned by McDonalds in relation to this venture but then they would say that, wouldn't they? Is this the end of service with a smile?. Will this change the entire restaurant industry?. Let us know what you think and if you're still loving it.

Out of Term hours for the Tourism and Food Library

The library at Cathal Brugha street will start its out of term hours from Monday the 3oth May.

We will be open Monday to Friday 9:30- 5:15pm.

We will not be open on Saturdays (including this Saturday 28th of May).

These hours will be in effect until the next academic year starts on the 19th of September 2011.

Colour printer at Cathal Brugha St

Good news for those needing to print off colour documents in Cathal Brugha St campus. Our reprographics provider Ricoh have installed a colour printer in Cathal Brugha St. Library on a pro-tem basis.

The printer is available in the reprographic area at the same unit price as the monochrome copier/printers.
