National Bread Week
This week is the first ever National Bread Week (13th - 18th October 2014). Events, including tastings and promotions, are taking place in bakeries and shops across the country all week.
One such event took place today (16th October 2014) in DIT Cathal Brugha St when pupils from Rush National School joined DIT students to learn about making barmbracks and milk bread rolls. The event was part of a link up between the DIT and the Flour Confectioners and Bakers Association to highlight career opportunities in the bread sector.
The visit featured on the front page of today's Irish Times. Click here for more on the visit.
