DIT student is Knorr student chef of the year

Congratulations to DIT student, Fiona Drought (pictured), who won this year's Knorr student chef of the year competition. Competitors came from all over Ireland and the final was closely fought.

The theme of this year's competition was Wise up on food waste, competitors had to use ingredients from sustainable sources and limit the amount of food waste generated. Catherine impressed the judges with her main course, a symphony of Irish venison, and her dessert which was prepared using ingredients taken from a mystery basket revealed on the day.
